TAKING PART

  In fall, institutions indicate their intention to participate in the upcoming survey. CUSC surveys are administered between January and April to samples of students. An email invitation is sent to students that includes a link to the on-line survey.

CUSC Member
Membership in CUSC is open to any degree-granting member university of the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (visit www.aucc.ca). CUSC membership provides the following benefits to the university:

  1. eligibility to participate in the CUSC survey of that membership year;
  2. eligibility to attend and participate as a voting member in the CUSC spring meeting and the Annual General Meeting held in fall;
  3. receive CUSC survey master report (aggregate results and group results) and institution reports;
  4. receive data from your university's respondents and data from all universities' respondents
CUSC memberships are renewed annually. To become a member, the university must also sign a Data Licensing and Membership Agreement. Members of the consortium are bound by the DL&MA for ownership and control of the survey data.

Non-member
Institutions that are not a degree-granting member university of AUCC cannot become members of CUSC. But these institutions can participate in CUSC surveys at the discretion of the CUSC Board. Please contact one of the CUSC board members. These institutions will receive data only from their students. Their students' responses will be excluded from master data files and master reports. Non-member institutions do not have to sign the Data Licensing and Membership Agreement since they will not be receiving data from other institutions.
